Mays' papers[edit]

I've been revising this and adding articles or simply material on related topics. I've done so mostly away from the best source, the cited book of Mays diary excerpts. The excerpts (from 1955-1959) are annotated, and there is an epilogue, which mentions Mays' distress at not being asked to help draft the current Virginia Constitution (the circa 1970 committee's delegates from Richmond were Lewis Powell and Oliver Hill) and that Mays refused to attend a church or get pastoral help in his final years. I did not have wifi access while reviewing it, so I could not cite it (nor really check my work) properly. Now I'm in a time crunch on other matters so cannot go to Richmond where I could review it during a period of internet access. FYI, the editor, James Sweeney, is a historian (perhaps now semi-retired) and archivist at Old Dominion University.Jweaver28 (talk) 12:40, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
