In 2009, She founded ISTANBUL’74 along with Alphan Eseli with the aim of bringing global events to Istanbul from the world of culture, making it the first and pioneering international arts and culture platform based in Turkey. ISTANBUL'74 has organized and curated exhibitions for international contemporary artists working in all media including Tracey Emin, Sandro Kopp, Robin Rhode, Nicolas Pol and Angel Otero.

One of ISTANBUL’74s major initiatives has been the organization of the Istanbul International Arts and Culture Festival which has announced its partnership with AnOther Magazine in 2013. The high profile event, free and open to the public festival brings together creative minds and offers a cultural exchange program between countries and various creative formats. Past Participants of the festival have included Gore Vidal, Zaha Hadid, Tilda Swinton, Terry Gilliam, Sophie Calle Carine Roitfeld, Mario Sorrenti, Ferzan Özpetek, Reha Erdem, Marco Mueller, Jefferson Hack, and Kirsten Dunst.

Muftuoglu also collaborated with Grand Classics to present a film screening ceremony hosted by Daniel Day-Lewis and oversaw the organization of the gala night of the International Herald Tribune Luxury Conference held in Istanbul and hosted by Suzy Menkes in 2007.

She commissioned Rex Architects in New York to create the new VAKKO HQ building which went on to win the Wallpaper Best Workspace of the Year in 2010.

In 2000, Muftuoglu conceptualized and developed the multi-label concept store V2K Designers.

  • Rejected - sorry, no, this isn't going to happen. Information in articles about living people needs reliable sources. Your changes do not cite any sources at all. Secondly, paragraphs 2 and 3 are clearly about ISTANBUL'74, not about Demet Muftuoglu. They are also written in a promotional manner (which is a big no-no on Wikipedia). First of all I want to know how Wikipedia accepted false information about ISTANBUL 74? I want to let you know that ISTANBUL 74 is not a SHOP! I dont know where Wikipedia or someone else found any source about this information. Nevertheless , Demet Müftüoğlu is not a Turkish STYLIST nor a FASHION CONCULTANT… There's also no source about all these informations.

Lead by Demet Müftüoğlu Eşeli, ISTANBUL'74 has been organizing cultural events, festivals, exhibitions and artistic collaborations with creative thought leaders from around the world since 2009.

Before establishing ISTANBUL’74, Müftüoğlu has worked as a creative consultant at the prestigious fashion house Vakko between 2000-2012.
