Comments[edit]

Might want to mention somewhere that he's an active member of the Elks. (see L&O: "Helpless"). --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû 05:39, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cragan's Children[edit]

Law and Order made a discrepancy over whether Captain Cragan had children or not; in season 5 Bad Faith, he tells Logan that his 14 year old plays spin the bottle on the computer, then in an SVU episode he states something about what kids do and that's why he doesn't have any. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.134.37.3 (talk) 21:02, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mandatory Retirment Age[edit]

Doesn't the NYPD require mandatory retirement after 40 years of service? Because I'm thinking if he was a Green Beret in Vietnam, the fact that he worked for the NYPD in the 1970's, he'd probably have been born in the early to mid 1940's and considering at least two tours of service in Vietnam (I think you needed at least one tour to become a Green Beret), then joining the NYPD, that would put him almost up against the mandatory retirement... 24.44.68.146 (talk) 23:19, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What makes matters more interesting is the fact that he was actually a detective as early as the 1960's - partnered with Max Greevey (per Law & Order ep: "Everybody's Favorite Bagman"). It is a fictional universe afterall. We don't know if he had left the force during the 70's or 80's, and therefore we shouldn't assume. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 06:43, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We don't know for sure that he's departing the show so that part of the article should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.164.116.64 (talk) 17:45, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree. Until we can find a verifiable, reliable third-party source saying he's leaving, this shouldn't be in the article because it's potentially misleading. I'm removing it for now. It can always be added back if a source is identified. — Hunter Kahn 17:56, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
