Discrepancy[edit]

There is a discrepancy between the number of inhabitants given in the article introduction (roughly 13.500) and the number given in the infobox. Which is correct? Guaca (talk) 11:54, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Names[edit]

My first contribution to wikipedia, hope I am doing this correctly! As I am from Drøbak I would like to suggest some edits.

1. Under subsection "places", "Gylteåsen" is incorrectly rendered as "Gyltåsen". I would suggest replacing it altogether with "Gylte and Gylteåsen" or simply just "Gylte" while keeping the description. "Gylte" is commonly used to denote the area. Here https://kart.gulesider.no/?c=59.682177,10.626569&z=16&q=%22dr%C3%B8bak%22;geo is a map which shows the area(s).

2. For subsection "names". I have always heard that the name of Drøbak is a contraction of "Drøye bakker" (English: "Steep/Excaggerated slopes"). However, the norse form of the name (already included in the article) means the same as the norwegian.

On an unrelated note; I am suprised the article does not mention Follo museum , a museum with old traditional houses collected from across the country.

I am happy to submit photos of Drøbak if any are needed. XenoRoot14 (talk) 23:20, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
