The list of hit singles ought to be put in chrono order, but I don't feel like doing that this minute. Bellczar 07:22, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have done a rough chronological order Design 22:50, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How can uou doa biographical piece on this man and not mention the scandal that destroyed his career?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.230.180.230 (talk) 04:50, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, why don't you write it up and add it? --ArmadilloFromHell 04:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Been There, Done That" link bad[edit]

The link for Fisher's 2nd book takes you to somebody else. I think the book is worth a little more than the current description in the article. It's not all sex. I heard it on tape and thought it was reflections of a well-lived and very screwed up man, documenting a long gone era.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.237.11.178 (talk) 04:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Eddie Fisher.JPG[edit]

Image:Eddie Fisher.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 07:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birth name[edit]

  • Edwin Jack Fisher - lede
  • Edwin John Fisher - infobox.

Let not Wikipedia speak with forked tongue. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 09:57, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it to "Jack" in the infobox, since that's what the Associated Press via the New York Times says. The Internet Movie Database says "John", while the Internet Broadway Database says "Jack". Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 10:58, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marriages[edit]

User:Ponyo deleted my contribution, writing: "Please do not add any personal info sourced to IMDB"

Hate to break this to you, pal, but IMDB is a heck of alot more authoritative than Wiki! If you have a better, more authoritative source for Fisher's marriage dates (ha, ha), then, by all means, cite it! Worc63 (talk) 07:02, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The status of Wikipedia's reliability is irrelevant, the fact is that IMDB is not to be used as a source for biographical information. It has been discussed ad nauseum at WP:RSN and the result is always the same. If you would like to try to change that consensus, then that noticeboard would be the place to start. The onus is on the individual wishing to add information to ensure it is reliably sourced (Note: Cross posted from my talk page). --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 14:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Eddie Fisher (singer)Eddie Fisher – Wikipedia has three entries for men named "Eddie Fisher". Among the three, Eddie Fisher (singer) ‎(1928–2010) had been a star celebrity for decades and his renown far outshines that of Eddie Fisher (baseball) (born 1936) as well as Eddie Fisher (drummer) (born 1973). — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 23:21, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
