confusion: rock source was state of Georgia?[edit]

The article states that the company "imported rock from Georgia" meaning from the U.S. state of Georgia? Did the company have any local quarries in New England or did it just distribute imported rock? Seems odd if it imported granite from Georgia to sell in New England.
