Article Title
[edit]Can someone confirm the correct relevant spelling for the article title? -- Ratarsed 07:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]Fox Theatre, San Francisco → Fox Theatre (San Francisco) — Request that article be moved back to title Fox Theatre (San Francisco), for consistency with the titles of other such articles. Wiki typically uses parentheses, not a comma to set off information differentiating between articles with the same name. ThanksMarkhh (talk) 19:02, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- The exception of course is geographical differentiation, where typically a comma is used. E.g. Paris, Texas. --Bejnar (talk) 06:03, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think you mean "Wikipedia typically uses..." Anyway, the other Fox Theatres are at Fox Theater (Spokane, Washington), Fox Theatre (St. Louis, Missouri), Fox Theatre (Detroit, Michigan), Fox Theatre (Atlanta, Georgia), Pomona Fox Theater, Fox Oakland Theatre and Fox Tucson Theatre. If it's consistency you seek, shouldn't Fox Theatre (San Francisco, California) be more appropriate? Also, you're going to have to move a lot of articles if you want them all to be named consistently. I would suggest you start by agreeing on a naming guideline at WikiProject Theatre or a similar project. Jafeluv (talk) 13:38, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
This article has been renamed as the result of a move request. Vegaswikian (talk) 02:36, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Rebuilt in 1959?
[edit]The List of William Pereira buildings shows that architect designing a Fox Theatre in San Francisco that was built in 1959. Was the theater rebuilt then?RevelationDirect (talk) 03:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
