There is a persistent story that Malerba smuggled his own supply of pesto onboard the Shuttle... does anyone know if there's actual confirmation of this, or just a bad joke? -FZ (talk) 14:19, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)

The infobox says he was part of the 1989 ESA Group, yet the ESA astronaut page says he was never part of ESA, unlike some other French and German astronauts who trained separately but transferred in to ESA.
