Isn't the album's title either Frank Sinatra Sings For Only The Lonely or just Only The Lonely? I don't understand the current article title. Wasted Time R 16:43, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen the album listed as both and I believe the title of this article was listed more often in sources. However, people searching for the album might search for simply "Only The Lonely" looking for the album, hence including the alternate title. Perhaps we should create disambiguation page for Only The Lonely? Williamnilly 17:53, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why would it be listed as Sinatra Sings ... when the album cover clearly shows it's Frank Sinatra Sings ...? Wasted Time R 18:06, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. The page shall be moved! Williamnilly 19:17, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I own this album (on CD) and on the spine the billing reads: "FRANK SINATRA SINATRA SINGS FOR ONLY THE LONELY". The actual CD has the title reading Sings For Only The Lonely right beneath Frank Sinatra's name but personally I usually go with the spine as the definitive billing (as cover art is often stylized). I can produce scans if anyone's interested. Lairor 19:08, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think both titles are acceptable (and are noted in the article). Williamnilly 06:07, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and someone should re-word the "Originally, Frank Sinatra had planned..." paragraph as it's been lifted directly from the allmusic.com review of the album. I'll probably get around to doing it eventually if noone else does.--Lairor 19:12, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is good as far as it goes. It needs to be fully developed with detailed information. Please see example given above as well as To the Stars (album) for ideas as to what qualities an article on an album for GA status. —Mattisse (Talk) 20:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

requested revision/cleanup[edit]

did some minor cleanup and revision as per Wiki's request, improved some phrasing, gave extensive recording info it's own section ("Background") so as to eliminate the overlong, run-on feel of opening section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.183.142.97 (talk) 17:52, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ClueBot screw-up[edit]

just wanted to point out that after my lengthy and badly-needed revision of this article, something called 'ClueBot' came along and reverted the article back to its poorly-written, disorganized former self. hoping that this is brought to someone's attention who can prevent it from happening again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.183.142.97 (talk) 12:45, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Start class:
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox
  • Green tickY A lead section giving an overview of the album
  • Green tickY A track listing
  • Green tickY Reference to at least primary personnel by name (must specify performers on the current album; a band navbox is insufficient)
  • Green tickY Categorisation at least by artist and year

C class:

  • Green tickY All the start class criteria
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox, including cover art
  • Green tickY At least one section of prose (in addition to the lead section)
  • Green tickY A track listing containing track lengths and authors for all songs
  • Green tickY A "personnel" section listing performers, including guest musicians.

B class:

  • Green tickY All the C class criteria
  • Green tickY A completed infobox, including cover art and most technical details
  • Red XN A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
  • Green tickY No obvious issues with sourcing, including the use of blatantly improper sources.
  • Red XN No significant issues exist to hamper readability, although it may not rigorously follow WP:MOS
Needs to be cleaned up as it's nearly one big intro paragraph. Technical staff should also be listed in the album section. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:46, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
