Misapplying left/right categories in Iran[edit]
@Pahlevun: Can you explain how a short BBC explainer/guide is a useful source for accurately classifying Iranian political parties? Using colloquial categories might be useful for explaining the 2012 elections to people with little or no knowledge of Iranian politics, but surely it isn't appropriate in an encyclopedia article? Here's a more useful report by the Belfer Center which avoids using these designations, which are not appropriate in an Iranian context.[1] The alternative scheme of ideological classification is given on pp.6-8. - @Endymion.12: Thanks for bringing this up here in the talkpage. That's not just BBC, The Economist (source nine) has described them as "Iran’s most right-wing party". Besides, using left–right dualism is pretty typical in the Iranian political context (See Political factions in Iran). I am not denying that some academics, including the one you mentioned above, oppose using these terms for Iranian politics. If you think that using high-quality journalistic sources is not encyclopedic for this specific content here in this article, and third opinion comments approve your view, I would not object removing it.
