Problems[edit]

This sentence does not really have anything to do with Gary Panter and his art, does it? Ola Rinta-Koski 06:16, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

These albums were released as seperate items instead of one complete album and without Zappa's permission.

Most of this article seems to be lifted verbatim from the "Official Gary Panter website," which would seem to make it either a bad vanity article or just incredibly poorly researched. I think the cleanup tag should lean towards vfd unless someone can write something "encyclopedic" here. human 07:07, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

This article seems to be a bit overt in admiration of Panter's work. For example, one paragraph claims that the Frank Zappa album covers were "universally admired", though no citation is provided to support this claim. (Sugar Bear (talk) 21:13, 14 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Yes I see someone has left some notes in the BLP header there too - I've flagged this as needing attentions. If anyone else has any concerns then flag them here and we'll see what we can do. (Emperor (talk) 19:28, 21 July 2008 (UTC)))[reply]
Agree with the tagging. This article reads like a cross between a promo and a Seventeen (magazine) article. I've made an edit to try to reduce some of the most POV verbiage, leaving much of the content intact. I also cut some ('way too few in my book) of the unsupported POV statements. This article would actually be better if someone consolidated the redundancy and cut the fat. I'd estimate that 30% of its total could be trimmed away with no loss to content and much better readability.Trilobitealive (talk) 17:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

this article is a hagiography, totally culled from the artist's own website. It is utterly non-objective, not to mention preposterous in many of it's claims ("the most influential graphic artist of his generation")
