Date of fire[edit]

What sources are there for the date of 6 July (as stated in article & other language wikipedia pages linked)? The following four secondary sources (accessible via google books) give 6 June:

  • Theories of modern art: a source book by artists and critics page 478 * The Swan King: Ludwig II of Bavaria Christopher McIntosh - page 48
  • The Life of Richard Wagner ...: 1859-1866- page 412
  • Hitler and the artists Henry Grosshans - page 97

Accordingly I have (provisionally) changed the date to 6 June in this (English language) article ... happy to be corrected, and would love to see something primary like a newspaper from the time if anyone has access to such an archive. Stumps (talk) 22:40, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Times of June 8, 1931 reported, 'Munich June 7 ... German art suffered an irrreparable loss ...' Stumps (talk) 22:52, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
