Talk:History of cricket in the United States

How should these two articles relate? What is the general format for history and team articles? Won't a summary of the history of the national side generally include the history of the game in this country? Should the US cricket team article be pared down to talk about the Philadelphian cricket team less?--Eva bd 04:01, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, I'm trying to bring some order to United States cricket team (you can see my working draft here) and History of United States cricket (my working draft will be here). Any help that can be offered is most welcome.--Eva bd 04:57, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BOLD rewrite[edit]

Hey all. I've done a fairly bold rewrite of this article. I think it is an improvement, but I'm open to suggestions. I've tried to cite everything that needs citing but I may have missed something. The article gets worse as it goes, in my opinion, because I was getting more and more sick of writing it.--Eva bd 18:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is a nice addition the article, but it doesn't flow very well. Has anyone ideas on where to place it?--Eva bd 18:39, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war[edit]

I hit 'history' instead of 'edit this page' by mistake and couldn't help but notice an edit war between an editor and an IP user over a rather amusing anecdote from pop culture. This is actually not a bad point to make (if I mentioned cricket to the average American, they'd probably be aware of the game but not necessarily familiar with it); however, we'd need to provide some sort of source other than "I saw it in a movie and drew this conclusion from it." :) Jibbajabba (talk) 09:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of South Asian influx?[edit]

Word has it that a large influx of Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi immigrants into the USA has produced something of a revival. Why isn't this mentioned? I believe that they are the mainstay of cricket in the NYC area, where the game is quite popular.--MacRusgail (talk) 23:36, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
