New Edit[edit]

Hey guys. Hope you're doing well and keeping yourselves safe.

I'm a university student and as part of an assignment I decided to contribute this article in hopes of bring it out of its stub status. I acknowledge that the edits I have made were pretty radical so feel free to raise any concerns with me here or on my talk page. I'm feeling a little more confident in editing in Wikipedia but I know that I still have so much to learn so please know that these edits were done in good faith. I wanted to write here to justify why I have changed the lead section.

I have debated on how to define Honest History and while I do agree that its role as a movement of Australian historians is a core part of Honest History, I felt that it would be helpful if I also talked about their activities as more of an organisation. I attempted to flesh out their historical displine and approaches in the 'Overview' section as I felt it is only a part of Honest History. So while I don't disagree with the previous definition, I did want to expand more on other aspects of this coalition.

I juggled with the idea of referring it to an organisation or an association. But given its deregistered status, perhaps the term 'coalition' would have been more appropriate given that they have been referred to as such in academic articles. But feel free to bring it up with me and hopefully we can come to an agreement.

Anyways, for those who have this article in your watchlist. I hope that my edits will help you further improve this article in order to bring it out of its stub class. I acknowledege that there is still much more work to do to make this article more polished but I hope that we can work together. Ericisheretohelp (talk) 11:12, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
