Ilojo[edit]

This building also served as the residence of widows, children, grandchildren and extended families of the late Alfred Omolona Olaiya After his death in the early 1930s. The deceased was the son of an Ekiti princess, and is reputed to have made his fortune as a contractor to the colonial government's prisons, according to family sources.

The renowned High life musician Dr Victor Olaiya, had a sales outlet in the building for many years.He like my father Gabriel Adediran Olaiya was one of the twenty eight children of Alfred Omolona Olaiya. Ade Olaiya (talk) 08:08, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]


The location shown is 8 & 3/4 miles from the actual (former) location on Lagos Island if you draw a straight line. The site location on Google Maps is labeled Tinubu Square, which it is (toward the edge of it anyway.) The coordinates should actually be 6.453876, 3.389948 [1] [2]
