Starting Date[edit]

On the IHE website, the starting year of IHE is listed as 1998. Yet, in this article it is listed as 1997. Is there some reference (publication or such) that supports the 1997 reference? WDavis1911 21:16, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My guess is the "initiative" might have started in 1997 with some informal discussions, but the org might have begun officially in 1998. So let us go with the source for now. W Nowicki (talk) 20:42, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the copyvio per the dupe detector is very minor, seems like only one sentence. This topic is clearly notable, I suggest just rewording rather than deleting. --Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 17:53, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the guidelines clearly say articles should paraphrase, not cut-n-paste. Still needs some work. W Nowicki (talk) 20:42, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline[edit]

This paragraph appears in article:

"A model for cross-enterprise document sharing called XDS allows hospitals to share electronic records that use the Health Level 7 (HL7) standards and LOINC codes.[5][6] The United States Department of Veterans Affairs revised its plans in 1999 to adopt IHE recommendations.[7]"

XDS was written 2003-2004 and was obsolete in 2009. How could the USA VA have adopted these recommendations 4-5 years before it was written? This article is a mishmash of random facts and needs to be rewritten. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vsm1 (talkcontribs) 05:44, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
