Possible inaccuracies in the text.[edit]

According to Timothy Smith's Book on the Siege of Corinth (entitled Corinth 1862), Trapier was only temporarily given command of the 1st Corps' 1st Division because Brigadier General Clark had fallen ill. He then temporarily replaced Jones M. Withers as commander of the 2nd Corps' 2nd Division, which he lead at the Battle of Farmington.
