Blackwell Encyclopedia of Anglo-Saxon England ...[edit]

Is pretty much a gold standard of scholarship. The entry on James the Deacon is written by Michael Lapidge and Blackwell Publishers (now part of Wiley-Blackwell) is a well respected scholarly publishing house. There really isn't a better source. The entry on James says "Like Paulinus, he was presumably of Italian origin." But this edit inserted information that is not supported by any change of source, and is definitely not in the entry for James that is given as a source. If there are sources saying James "a Roman who lived during the Odoaceran, Ostrogothic, or Lombardic period," they need to be presented, rather than just inserting the information into a sourced sentence that is not supported by the source.
