Background?[edit]

Could he be the son of the late Claire Sterling? She wrote a lot about organised crime, including the activities of pardoned tax evader Marc Rich during the collapse of the Soviet Union. Claire Sterling must have been an informer because she had briefly been a member in a communist organisation but was not blacklisted by the committee for un-American activities. In her book about international crime organisations Claire Sterling describes a dinner/interview with the then German Chancellor Helmut Kohl in Bonn in his house - and to get that opportunity you need to be 100 % well connected.
