[edit]Great to see some substance at this page. But what is the asterisk before "must"? A typo, or should it be italics? —JerryFriedman 21:45, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
I wonder where/what the citation for the "brief affair" with Lawrence's wife is? I have attempted to find it on my own, but no such luck. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.86.153.90 (talk) 10:22, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Why so unpopular?
[edit]His intense relationship with [Mansfield], her early death, and his subsequent allusions to it, shaped both his later life and the attitudes (often hostile) of others to him. Leonard Woolf in his memoirs called Murry "Pecksniffian". By 1933 his reputation "had touched bottom"...
- Hard to see from this how he became so unpopular. Was it a Ted Hughes/Sylvia Plath situation? Valetude (talk) 02:45, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
