Plot
[edit]The first sentence that describes the plot is extremely long and a grammatical mess. Can someone with more knowledge of the book please re-word the opening of the plot? Moogagot (talk) 23:48, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
Themes and Issues
[edit]This part (Themes & Issues) seems pointless to include in the article, also why is the character in the book called Davy in this section? All it did was confusing me when I skimmed this article as I've not read the book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.216.110.58 (talk) 22:45, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Banned
[edit]It would be helpful to the article to explain why it was considered one of the most banned books. Alas, I do not know, other than it may be because of a portrayal of something in the first 9 pages (according to the author). --LeyteWolfer 07:39, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Probably the truck driver and his friends trying to rape the protagonist. There's also the abusive father beating him with a belt. --OGoncho (talk) 20:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:JUMPER Steven Gould.jpg
[edit]Image:JUMPER Steven Gould.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I added a fair uses rational on this image and hopefully it will suffice. Brian25j (talk) 19:39, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
ISBN
[edit]The ISBN listed in the infobox (ISBN 0-8125-2237-0) is, according to Amazon, a paperback book, not a hardcover. Can someone double-check this? --zenohockey (talk) 20:30, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
The sequel "Impulse"
[edit]I just added the sequel, I expected the link to come up red but it turns out there is already another novel by the same name. I don't know how this is handled so I will leave to to those wiser than I. Loren Pechtel (talk) 02:07, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I’m not sure how same-titled novels are disambiguated, but I’ve redlinked it to Impulse (Steven Gould novel). —Frungi (talk) 16:33, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Redundancy
[edit]Isn’t it redundant to say in the same sentence that two characters both “develop a relationship” and “fall in love”? I’ve just reverted the addition for the second time, so I thought it was time to bring it up here. —Frungi (talk) 02:40, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
