This is a good start but not ultimately satisfactory. Lower middle class is not defined, it is not clear why the stated goals (construction industry revival, low-income housing) are necessarily contradictory,

too much emphasis on the mob (really, who cares?)—the social history is more interesting and affected more people but obviously less pop culture-ish mischaracterization of the Rosenberg conviction not enough citations

Who is Mr. Jones and what is his affiliation to Knickerbocker Village, the block, neighborhood, and Mr. French?

If Mr. French started construction in 1933, completed in construction in 1934, and then sold it 50 years later, the sale date would be either 1983 or 1984. Yet the article states that Mr. French sold the propert in the 1970s. The time frame is contradictory and senseless. The date of sale can be determined by checking the record of sale.

It was created to encourage low to middle income units to be built by guarenteering the investors 3% on their investments. There were only about a dozen developments in NYS built under Art. Stand on the corner of Cherry & Market Sts. and you can see the hill.
