Map doesn't show it[edit]

The map below the infobox doesn't actually identify Lake Bunyoni. --Stfg (talk) 22:14, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sharp's Island[edit]

I visited Dr and Mrs Sharp with my family in about 1957 - I was 9 years old - and stayed a few days on the island. We travelled from Kampala where we lived, and we also had time to explore the Virunga volcanoes (and climb one!) as well as the impenetrable forest and other highlights of the area. Many years before, Dr Sharp had got hold of the floats from an old Catalina flying boat (they used to carry the Royal Mail from London) and turned them into small boats, two very small ones equipped with a sail, and two larger ones with motors. We were carried out to the island in one of the large ones, and my brother and I had the chance to use the smaller ones to play with. It was a wonderful holiday and I wish there was a way of including my memories in Wikipedia! And I'm very pleased and impressed to learn about the clever way he set up the leper colony. Thanks for the information! Egarobar (talk) 19:18, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
