Synonyms[edit]

I've taken the liberty of removing the section "In English, other synonyms include 'platitude' and 'bromide'", as bromides and platitudes are not necessarily tautological. Nor, on verification in the OED's online thesaurus, are they listed as synonyms. Extenebris (talk) 08:47, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The def says truism or tautology. Anyway, the section is called "Similar terms", so I restored them, without using the word "synonym". Staszek Lem (talk) 01:48, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
