Untitled[edit]

In Chinese and Confucian philosophy, there is Li, Li, Li and Li... they're all different characters but someone typing Li in Wikipedia will invariably click on the "Li" meaning ritual (which could look like it's related to the Li of principle (理), but it's nothing like it). Someone could also mix of one the Li and think it's the same term for "force" (力), like in modern science.

It's completely different. Me thinks Wiki needs a way of differentiating Li, Li and Li from Li.

(nb. I'll create the "Li" principle one... if a guy doesn't delete them)

li as 理 is used by Wang Hui (Tsinghua uni) and is commonly used , I think, for the concept of 'ritual as principle' in analyses of Confucian philosophy. The other three forms of 'li' can also be described of course, but then every Chinese character (55k+) could be described in wiki....

The bigger problem is that the text only refers to Western interpretations of li (理), maybe some Chinese scholars could eloborate? Another problem is the limited amount of depth given to the concept of li (理).
