Digital avatars and band activity discussion[edit]

With the conclusion of the band's final tour and the digital avatars announced, I figured that while it is still a long ways away from beginning their estimated performances in 2027, that there should be a discussion regarding the band's activity.

As we know, the band stopped being active after their final show, and that the digital avatars will be continuing to perform for them. My argument is that when the avatars begin their performances, the "year active" parameter should not include "2027" as I feel that it could potentially cause some confusion with readers who think that the band have become active again. Digital avatars performing does not mean that the band is active again. Let us take ABBA as an example, as they are using digital avatar versions of themselves. The members were present when the virtual avatars began performances for ABBA Voyage in 2022, and while they were counted as active, they no longer were making any music or touring.

If by chance, the digital avatars go out on tour, I also think that there should be sub-headings in the "Tour" section when the time comes, which separates between the band tours and the digital avatar tours. Otherwise it might confuse readers per my statement in the paragraph above that I mentioned before. That is what I am saying, and would like to see the input from other editors on this. 100% the avatars are not the actual band. It should always be made completely clear to avoid confusion.★Trekker (talk) 21:34, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
