Legislative Competency Orders[edit]

I am unsure if this is allowed in Wikipedia, but will we need to create an article or something about the power requests between the National Assembly for Wales and Westminster? If so how would we name such an article? "Welsh Legislative Competency Orders", Orders of the National Assembly for Wales? please reply.

Acts of the National Assembly for Wales[edit]

Due to the Yes win at the referendum, I should think that soon a new page for Acts of the Assembly should be created as this page 'Assembly Measures' will become historical rather than current. These statutes will still be law though and should be kept separate. Anyway, just thought I would bring that to the attention of a registered user of wikipedia.

I have made a start on a page for acts and also started a list of acts passed after may 2011 Dn9ahx (talk) 21:56, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing 2011[edit]

Under Acts of the National Assembly for Wales I am removing 2011 as surely there is no point in having it as there were no Acts passed that year. I will add 2013 in preparation for Acts that will be made for that year instead. Newone2012 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:34, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, the NAW could have passed a bill between May 2011 and November 2011, which could then have received Royal Assent between June and December. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:04, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My thinking was that since there wasn't any laws passed in that particular year (there were only bills which were debated at the Assembly, none passed or given royal assent until 2012), there would not be a point to include 2011. Newone2012 (talk) 18:17, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A list of Welsh Acts only?[edit]

Just a suggestion, should there eventually be a new separate wikipedia page called List of Acts of the National Assembly for Wales? Eventually there will be more of them than Measures? Newone2012 (talk) 11:13, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Between 2008 and 2014 (to date), there have been 22 Measures and 14 Acts, at an average rate of five a year. One day, probably in 2016, the Acts will indeed outnumber the Measures. But the list won't grow at a rate that we can't cope with: compare the Acts of the UK Parliament which over the same period total 206 - an average of 29 per year. List of Acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, 2000–present will need splitting long before List of Acts and Measures of the National Assembly for Wales does. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:06, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough though remember, it was just a suggestion. Newone2012 (talk) 20:10, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:List of Acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 18:18, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
