Shortly after creating this page I received this message: "please note to survive the list needs a category (broader generic is fine) a lead sentence and a project tag on the talk page - these are fundamental elements that keep the ... whatevers... away."

So here is the "project tag" and a statement on why I created this page as requested by User:JarrahTree, a surprisingly polite and helpful Wikipaedia administrator who subsequently did some of the work requested anyway: I created this page in response to it being on the want list at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Australian_maritime_history Hopefully that and other recent tweaking is sufficient to satisfy the specified requirements. The list is fairly basic at this stage and it may be incomplete, so please add to it and improve it. --Bogong (talk) 16:32, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
