How come this list omitted many of the most famous names?! It looks as though this was a deliberate policy for some obscure Wikipedian reason. I mean, fancy omitting Ayer, Russell, and J.S. Mill.

Also, the defining criterion seems blurred. For example, take Ernest Gellner, who is not on here though he worked in London for 30 years and caused a stir in the London Times newspaper letters pages after a leader about his first book (according to the article). He is in categories Jewish philosophers, and British Jews (although he was born in France to Czech parents); does that, and his decades at LSE and Cambridge, not make him also a British philosopher? Thank you for your concern with this article. It is clearly a mistake that the omitted philosophers you added were omitted. I created the article, but I have spent very little time on it since its creation. If you find any missing British philosophers, or people on this list who are not philosophers (or British), please edit the list accordingly. Thank you.
