Merger?[edit]

Should this page be merged with List of Pokémon episodes? I mean, if "Pokémon media and release information" redirects here... this article seems kind of bland, and also, notice the Yu-Gi-Oh! media and release information and Inuyasha media and release information... I'm thinking about it... Maybe we should combine them and call it "Pokémon media and release information" and maybe add some manga stuff there too... Matty-chan 13:31, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Maybe we should make an article called Pokémon media and merge this with that. Dhawk1964 22:48, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nah, We don't need a Merger. The 2 Articles are Big enough already. gregskywalker 18:09, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • No. You'll be surprised at how many people enjoy anime theme songs. Where people would then want their own copy but don't know the details such as title or artist ect. Then coming to wikipedia (to these such articles) would help them in their quest.

Mystery Girl[edit]

SInce this is the theme songs page, I thought this would be the place to ask. In the english opening, towards the end, Pikachu runs under a couple of people and jumps into the air. One of the people is a young, brown haired girl. I was wondering if anyone knows who she is? CureHeart 18:22, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • This has bugged me since i first saw the show. I may be wrong but is she one of the manga characters that was never brought over to the anime version. I think i heard that somewhere?--Irishboi 01:11, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks like "Lass" From R/B/Y games.
  • Just a random girl, possibly based on the "Lass" sprite. She's probably there for the Japanese op's lyrics which mentioned "under the girl's skirt". The Slimy One 08:45, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, this isn't the place for this kind of discussion. Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Please discuss the article itself, not the article's subject. Matty-chan 04:14, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

I am proposing a merge into Pokémon (anime), because really it doesn't deserve its own article and is directly related to the anime. - A Link to the Past (talk) 06:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Movie themes?[edit]

Should movie themes be included as well? -- XenoL-Type 24 June, 2007 0:09 (UTC)

No movie themes since they are not cannon (part of the main plot of the story). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.242.169.170 (talk) 11:58, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hirokazu Tanaka[edit]

Back when I used to follow the series (up until about 2003 or so), it seemed that Hirokazu Tanaka composed almost every OP and ED song, and countless other songs featured as single b-sides and in albums and other non-anime related stuff (e.g. Pokemon Ierukana?). He seems to have stopped doing them recently though. I think it would be a good idea to mention the composer for each song as that seems to be a lot more consistant than the singers, and possibly also add other related music as there does seem to be a lot! --Zilog Jones 22:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pokemon Theme[edit]

I think the first opening theme to the U.S. version should be changed to "Gotta Catch'em All" or something similiar, as thats the main verse and it's more fitting than just calling it the "Pokemon Theme". It's very deserving of an actual title than just that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.224.33 (talk) 20:06, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, it deserves a title, but officially, it's known as "Pokemon Theme." The makers of the song would have to give it a title, we can't do that for them. Of course, we could do "Pokemon Theme (Gotta Catch 'em All)" or something similar. 75.40.244.193 (talk) 23:41, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Crawford not Lead Vocalist for S1 Theme, Changed to Jason Paige[edit]

According to Bulbapedia, the lead vocals for the show's theme were sung by Jason Paige, not Billy Crawford, who sung the lyrics for the "Mewtwo Strikes Back" version of the song. 75.40.244.193 (talk) 23:39, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah this should really be changed back to Jason... 71.168.63.20 (talk) 01:24, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pokemon Johto[edit]

David Rolfe sang Pokemon Johto according to Bulbapedia and they don't lie ! ebough with all this PJ what ever it was David Rolfe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matthew Cantrell (talk) 15:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pokérap[edit]

Why no mention of the Pokérap? It is still probably the most iconic theme song for the franchise. -B2xiao (talk) 05:31, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. Intro 4[edit]

I specifically remember the 4th season episodes A Goldenrod Opportunity and A Dairy Tale Ending using the 3rd intro when they first broadcasted. Several episodes after this also used the 3rd intro. The 4th intro did not begin until later, despite the episodes being advertised as season 4. However, I've noticed later times that these episodes did use this intro. Anyone know why this is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.244.251 (talk) 03:43, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I don't remember that, but it could just be me. Whether it's true or not, we'll need a reliable source before we can add it to any article. -sesuPRIME talk • contribs 04:10, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I checked around and bulbagarden mentions this fact too. It appears intro 3 was used for these episodes during it's first run on 4kids. Bulbagarden may not be "reliable", but my memory still knows this because I was beginning to wonder if they were ever going to change it, which they finally did a few episodes later. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.243.237 (talk) 00:39, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dotchi ~ Nyo?[edit]

Hi, I'm pretty sure it means "Which one?" but I don't want to add it yet until I have some kind of conformation. Thanks! Michelle or --HoopoeBaijiKite 08:01, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of Pokémon theme songsList of Pokémon anime songs — The article covers more than just the opening and ending themes, so the broader title is a better fit for the current contents of the article. Tsutarja494, the Grass Snake Editor (talk | contribs) 19:45, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. It is just an odd title you are requesting a move to. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 14:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I think that the anime soundtracks should be removed, or moving them to another name of "List of Pokémon anime soundtracks", while this page will remain its name as present. --Frontier95 (talk) 15:08, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Episode debut of Pokémon World[edit]

"Pokémon Theme" is described as being used from 0001 to 0080 while it says that "Pokémon World" was used from 0081 to 0116. This is supposed to mean that "Pokémon Theme"'s last use (not counting other arrangements) was in "Friends to the End" and "Pokémon World" began being used in "A Scare in the Air", correct? Because I've definitely seen versions of "A Scare in the Air" and the two episodes that follow it using the "Pokémon World" opening. Or are there versions of the same episodes with different English openings? TardisTybort (talk) 19:13, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Other languages[edit]

Hey, should I add theme songs in some other languages too or probably make a different article for them. Pokémon themes songs are pretty famous around the globe. I have almost completed information on them.Yash Sonbhurra (talk) 02:07, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Episode numbers[edit]

Should I change the number of episodes in the English section from the overall number of episodes to numbers based on series (like EP101, AG099, etc, etc... That'd be more convenient unless I'm wrong... Yash Sonbhurra (talk) 16:49, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vocalists (Hindi)[edit]

Hey! If anyone knows the names of the vocalists. Please add them. I am unable to find anything about them. WallCrawler07 (talk) 14:12, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
