Untitled[edit]

Question is should solar thermal be lumped in with PV. I'd argue they are different enough to merit separate items--Oldboltonian 19:46, 12 June 2007 (UTC) == Africa isn't a country. Perhaps this article would be better labeled as "List of renewable energy topics by geographical region".[reply]

My problems with this list[edit]

Why wasn't this just "Energy topics by country"? Isn't that a lot more direct and appropriate? The only reason people aren't asking those questions is because there's this huge renewable club going around Wikipedia. Selectively creating articles isn't an issue, but I think organizing them as such is an issue.

That said, I do think i've only seen one fossil fuel by country article, which I just made: Coal power in the United States, which further perplexes me as to why this article is specifically about renewables. I don't even want to get into the fact that all the topics covered here (excluding nuclear) cover about 2% of the world's electricity production. And just in case you want a source for that, this is the world's electricity production breakdown for 2005:

Hydro 16.71% Nuclear 15.13% Renewables 2.13% Thermal 66.02%

And another thing, why haven't I seen more "Energy in xx" articles? Do we not care? Shouldn't these be stressed fairly highly even if no one's doing work on them? For instance, there's an Energy in Japan article. I also see an Energy in Iran, and then every other country is over complicated with titles like Energy use in the United States (why do we have to be inconsistent now).

Biofuel[edit]
