Scientific career: China visit[edit]

I have changed the date of the China visit back to 1979. Both the Wallace reference and the Alquist Medal citation give the 1979 date, which also seems more consistent with the date of the Second Communiqué. Jones is known to Southern Californians as “the earthquake lady” for her TV appearances. “I mean, she has fans! Who has fans?” said the moderator. Jones said she chose her title “thinking it would appeal to a San Francisco audience.” ... "Panic is not the answer. Hard work is. And there are some obvious vulnerabilities. Jones notes in particular that two-thirds of the fiber-optic cables connecting Southern California cross the San Andreas, as do all the natural gas lines. Book[edit]

Under personal life it mentions her plans to write a book. The book is now out "The Big Ones". I feel however that this should probably go under her career heading. Mrericsully (talk) 17:11, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
