So, do they spell it "Skywalker" or "Skyywalker"? --Kamagurka 17:12, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

YY & Grantham[edit]

Questions such as the spelling of Skyywalker are easy to figure out as Google and Discogs.com show evidence of in one easy search, and it's also easy to presume as it would be a cheap way at avoiding copyright laws for an amatuer business man as he was in 1986. The quesiton of who and why was the name Grantham added to this is a bit more of a mystery as no simple google search supports...

U. Miami QB Controversy confirmation[edit]

"Rapstar Luther Campbell has threatened to provide the NCAA with fresh allegations of a pay-for-play operation at the University of Miami unless Ryan Collins, a close friend of Campbell's, is named UM's starting quarterback this fall."

Place of Birth[edit]

"(Born December 22, 1960, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida)" -- How is him being born in Mt. Sinai Hospital relevant at all? It's not necessary, at least not in the opening line. --72.145.165.44 (talk) 10:16, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no mention of his career as a member of 2 Live Crew?[edit]

...or are there two men who use the stage name "Luke Skyywalker?" 66.162.249.170 (talk) 01:16, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 11 August 2021[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. Moved to Uncle Luke - chosen per WP:OTHEROPTIONS, with 2 comments in favor of Uncle Luke to 1 for Luke (nominator). The only oppose comment is mostly procedural. There is just enough favor that the title should be changed, but as there isn't a consensus for a single title, another request can be opened should a different title be desired. Luther CampbellLuke (rapper)WP:COMMONNAME, all his albums have been released under the name "Luke" or "Uncle Luke", no reason to have his birth name as the article title here. 162 etc. (talk) 18:10, 11 August 2021 (UTC) — Relisting.  — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:28, 20 August 2021 (UTC) — Relisting. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 19:30, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom, although I'd probably prefer Uncle Luke as WP:NATURAL.--Ortizesp (talk) 20:28, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose but would not object to relisting. The nomination is devoid of any mention of relevant sources. The album releases are primary sources. What do the reviewers call him? Andrewa (talk) 20:20, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Billboard and the RIAA refer to him as Luke. 162 etc. (talk) 04:54, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Note: WikiProject Hip hop has been notified of this discussion.  — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:27, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Second relist; there seems to be a vague sense the title can be improved, but there is no consensus yet for any specific name being the best name. If there is no additional sourcing/participation after this relist I recommend a "no consensus" close. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 19:30, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the Uncle Luke suggestion above, which appears to be both a commonly used name in sources and as noted a natural disambiguation.--Yaksar (let's chat) 19:59, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
