Redirect to Moro Islamic Liberation Front[edit]

I reverted the redirect to Moro Islamic Liberation Front. I don't believe it's the "most known/noteworthy" usage of the acronym. Unfortunately for the world.

Some page view statistics:

Page view doesn't mean most notable to the world because there is a systemic bias here in the English WP tha tmost readers are from the USA where American Pie was popular. That doesn't mean global noteworth per WP:GLOBALIZE(Lihaas (talk) 12:26, 25 January 2014 (UTC)).[reply]
If "MILF" is redirected to Moro Islamic Liberation Front, then the Moro Islamic Liberation Front article is going to have to have a "hat note" at the top, saying something like "For the sexual/slang term, see..." -- AnonMoos (talk) 13:49, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Believe the original slang was from Mature Independent Lonely Female, the more vulgar definition cited is from today's lazy generation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.124.19 (talk) 23:08, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that a Google search for the quoted phrase "Mature Independent Lonely Female" yields this very talk page as its first hit is pretty much rock-solid proof that what 67.165.124.19 claimed in April to believe is not true. TypoBoy (talk) 03:39, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No that is not at all the criteria nor how Google works. Google Page Rank is what determines which pages go at top, WikiPedia has one of the highest page ranks in the world, no matter what is on Wikipedia will normally shoot near the top, especially less popular phrases. The fact this used to mean "Mature Independent Lonely Female" and has become popular as "Mother I'd Like to Fuck" is still noteworthy and should be included. 124.169.45.150 (talk) 07:09, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

MILF used to be used many years ago by "MILF" women themselves, calling themselves "MILF" in meet up forums, they certainly did not refer to themselves as "I'm a Mother I'd Like to Fuck" but instead "I'm a Mature Independent Lonely Female" meaning they aren't the youngest any more but are lonely and "available". It would serve WikiPedia better to include this original definition. ISIS now meaning something very different from many years ago, and yet even though if you ask 100 people what ISIS means to them over 90% will refer to the terrorists, it has not meant that Wikipedia has put that meaning of ISIS at the top: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isis so why should this be different. Or is Wikipedia appealing to the vulgar younger generation in particular? 124.169.45.150 (talk) 07:15, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Also, this is a disambiguation page. Not an actual article so I am not really sure what you want to change here. --Stabila711 (talk) 07:42, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

add acronym for "Man I Love Fishing," popular meme and bumper sticker Sterling2357 (talk) 20:46, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have a Wikipedia article on that meme, we only include links that have articles here. It probably has not gotten significant coverage in reliable sources so it's probably isn't notable enough for an article. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:02, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
