Editing page on behalf of Makro?[edit]

Hi, I'm acting on behalf of Makro, and am looking into the possibility of making some changes to the page. Primarily I'm wanting to add an External link to the website, I would also like to get a link added to Makro on the Booker group page (Makro's parent company)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Booker_Group.

Both of these changes would seem to be in-line with the guidelines on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links but I want to make sure that I do not violate Wikipedia policies by making any changes.

If there is anything else that I need to do, or anyone else I should contact in order to do this properly then please let me know. I have obviously not made any changes to the page yet

removed this line... "Many people near the Queensferry, Flintshire branch for example, own Makro cards."

so what?

Makro South Africa is a public listed company listed on the JSE

Article says that you have to be registered with a business to buy from them[edit]

Despite this, pretty much anyone can buy anything for personal use from there by signing up with the name of the company you work for. Correct?--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 10:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you're unemployed, in which case you're screwed! 86.132.138.84 (talk) 18:58, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hear, Hear, those two comments. Supermarkets are expensive and Makro is more expensive than most supermarkets. Having owned retail stores and petrol stations for the last twenty three years, I do have a Makro 'pass', but I'd rather shop elsewhere and, by the emptiness of the car-park at Christmas, so would most others!

Costco is another one. You have to pay £25 to shop there. All very well, you might say. But, if you only go twice a year and spend £10 each visit you're ripped off. And you know it! It's just 'cool' to say you 'go to Costco'.

Store locations list[edit]

Do we really need a list consisting of all 33 UK stores, and not a single non-UK store? I think such lists should a) include other countries, and b) be split off from the main article. 86.132.138.84 (talk) 18:59, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not true - the list contains 33 UK Stores and 1 store in Pakistan. As you say, either that section should be reworked to include all stores worldwide or the Pakistan store should be removed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.162.4.3 (talk) 08:41, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
