To the editor. The "Miguel Roman" page is linked to the Puerto Rico portal by way of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Puerto_Ricans_in_the_United_States_Space_Program. The article is meant to provide additional details of the scientist. Note that several other persons in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Puerto_Ricans_in_the_United_States_Space_Program page (with comparable professional accomplishments) have been given the same opportunity to provide additional info on their missions and projects while at NASA. Note that the article is well referenced (with peer-reviewed journal articles from reputable journals e.g., Remote Sensing of Environment), has active links, and has been properly categorized to the PR portal: (Categories: 1981 births | People from San Juan, Puerto Rico | Living people | Puerto Rican scientists | NASA personnel).

Article has since been extensively sourced, and reasons to assume notability exist. It is no longer a candidate for speedy deletion, but may still be PRODed or sent to AfD by any editor. --Kudpung (talk) 03:11, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am concerned about the extent of the references. I removed a number of them because they did not support the text they were attached to and converted a number to inline links. The individual may meet the criteria for inclusion, but at this point I do not see enough support. I am hoping someone can review WP:CREATIVE and better apply the criteria. ttonyb (talk) 16:16, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
After rereading [1] I think this is the tipping point and I have removed the maintenance tags. ttonyb (talk) 16:19, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
