I can't rewrite it because I don't even understand what it's trying to say. Do you know what it means? Stickee (talk) 02:44, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would think that if someone has put a s-p on an article that they would have some knowledge about that article. But then I am not as wedded to WP as others.

"===College and young adult===

The following year, Mimi and Belle started at Salem University. Mimi would date Rex DiMera, who she thought could be the Salem Stalker. Rex, who suffered from massive headaches and mood swings, accidentally kills his "creator", Dr. Rolf. Mimi and Rex settle into a content relationship but then she becomes pregnant; her insecurities return. She never tells Rex because her relationship with Rex would be ruined with a child, so she has an abortion. The procedure leads to an infection which makes her sterile.

When Jan returns to Salem, Mimi learns that Shawn had been held hostage at Jan's country home. Mimi intended to expose Jan but Mimi was blackmailed to keep quiet otherwise Jan would divulge the abortion. Mimi and Jan were arguing when Jan tripped, was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized. The incident lead to Mimi being jailed, but Rex and Patrick get a video that shows it was an accident and she is released. Mimi suffers from her decision about keeping the pregnancy and abortion from Rex but she is convince by her mother, Bonnie, that disclosure would end her relationship with Rex.

Rex overhears an argument between Belle and Mimi and learns that Mimi had an abortion; the relationship ends and he leaves Salem. Mimi blames Belle for the ending of her relationship with Rex. Mimi becomes close to Belle's roommate and high school crush, Shawn. Mimi gives birth to Shawn's daughter, Claire, and Mimi attempts to resume her friendship with Belle. Shawn eventually proposes to Mimi on New Year's Eve and they marry in March 2006.

Mimi works at keeping Shawn and Belle apart because she fears that they could again fall in love. Mimi use the "in vitro" process to achieve her pregnancy in May 2006, two months following their wedding. In June, Mimi and Belle are shopping when Mimi starts having cramps. Lexie Carver tells Shawn, Belle and Phillip that Mimi had miscarried. The surrogate, Lauren, is found to carry a child for Mimi. A lab "mix-up" results in Mimi's egg to be fertilized with Philip's sperm and Belle's egg with Shawn's sperm. The "mix-up was concocted by Gloved Hand who was intent on ruining the lives of people in Salem. Mimi keeps to herself that Shawn is the father of Belle's baby. The secret is revealed; Shawn and Mimi divorce. Mimi and Philip sign away their rights to their baby to the surrogate.

Mimi moves back home to the Lockhart House with Bonnie and Conner. Mimi briefly works at Chez Rouge but left after a fight with Shawn's then girlfriend, Willow Stark. Mimi starts working for Max at his garage. They start to wonder what has happened to Philip since he has not been heard from for some time. Their search prompts Victor's goons to make Mimi prisoner in a church basement where a skeleton is found. Max rescues Mimi and they begin to date, much to Abby's dismay. Phillip searches for Claire, she helped by Shawn and Belle to go into hiding. Shawn and Belle flee to Canada.

The skeleton found in the church basement is Mimi's father, David Lockhart. Max comforts Mimi through this mystery. Bonnie is able to explain to Mimi what has happened; Mimi killed her abusive father but suppressed the memory. Bonnie takes responsibility for the murder and goes to prison. Mimi leaves Salem since her mother and older brother are in prison. She goes to Arizona to live with her younger brother, Connor."

This might be a better understanding of that part of the plot. These characters are the third round of people on that soap, the children and friends of the second round of characters, the latter the children of the original radio broadcast of the soap and later television series. The change was made with the intent of regaining a younger audience since the second round had been the main characters since the late 1960s and were growing older, dyeing off or just not up to the grind of soap acting.

The Brady's were the social pariah of the soap, bar owners. Eventually, they married into the more social register family when Julie's daughter married "Brady".66.74.176.59 (talk) 05:28, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not entirely sure what the changes requested are. Could you just list the things you want added/removed and why? reproducing the entire section with your changes doesn't make it easy to see what you changes you want Cannolis (talk) 04:07, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
