Cell Membrane[edit]

The cell membrane is also known as plasma membrane. It is the outermost boundary of cell, however in most plant cells , it is covered by cell wall.It is composed mainly of proteins and lipids, about 60-80% proteins and 20-40% lipids. In addition , there is a small quantity of carbohydrate. Many biologists contributed to established the structural organization of cell membrane. In 1935, Danielli and Davson proposed that cell membrane is composed of three layers. It was further suggested by Harvey and Davson in 1938 that cell membrane is composed of lipid bilayer sand witched between two protein molecules while In 1972 S.J Singer and G.L Nicolson that it is not sand witched between two protein molecules, In fact, proteins are embedded in a lipid bilayer in a mosaic manner —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 12:03, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to tell me here. Are you referring to the Cell membrane article? Stickee (talk) 12:15, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Minor struggle with another user on Todd Gallagher page[edit]

I came upon the Todd Gallagher page last year and found that it had a tone that I found to be more appropriate for public relations than an encyclopedic entry, as well as factual errors and a general lack of citations. I made a number of changes which were reversed by user WikiCorrect7. Then I redid edits more conservatively and made additional comments on the talk page. The user has continued to reverse my edits--such as "citation needed" flags--and delete many of my comments from the talk page. I'm not sure what to do at this point because I don't want to get into an edit war. In fact, I made a comment on the talk page to that effect but the comment was deleted. Thanks for your input. Ganacka (talk) 20:27, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey Ganacka. Wikicorrect's edits to the articles seem to be limited to the removal of 4 {{cn}} tags. However, his removal of your comments on the talk page are unnaceptable and I have reverted that and warned him about it. I will keep my eye on that article. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 04:02, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves[edit]

I saw today Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves is back in the article space now. It's come a long way since I originally proposed it for deletion. Well done! Feezo (Talk) 10:19, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! Although all I really did was add an infobox, a reference as well as some generel formatting. I will probably add some more to it as the release date closens. Stickee (talk) 11:51, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

You wrote "speedy keep" for Patrick Bouvier Kennedy. Should you do it again? Kewlarticle (talk) 03:11, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Well seeing you retracted your own nomination and all other people voted speedy keep/close, it fits criterion 1 of speedy keep. Closed the AFD. Stickee (talk) 06:55, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Right, the AFD is properly closed, and both articles stand. However the "keep" for Malia Ann Obama does not override its redirect to Family of Barack Obama which is the long-standing consensus. Tvoz/talk 07:06, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it was really more of a speedy close than a speedy keep when it comes to the Malia Ann Obama article. This has now been noted on the AFD. Stickee (talk) 08:49, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the clarification, and for the close. Tvoz/talk 16:01, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Indo-Pakistani War[edit]

I am not the one who are doing disruptive edits. And stop threatening other editors. I have given a reference in Indo-Pakistani war of 1965 regarding to territorial changes from a reliable source according to Wikipedia. So stop targeting others because when there is a critical issue both sides of the picture must be given. Thank you. M.A.R 1993 (talk) 07:57, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about. Can you provide a link to my edit that you are concerned with? I haven't edited the article you are referring to or your talk page. Stickee (talk) 08:02, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Nature and scope of social study[edit]

I note that you proposed Nature and scope of social study for deletion but forgot to inform the author (whose first and so far only edit on Wikipedia was creating the article). The PROD itself seems totally uncontroversial, so I've now posted the relevant message to his talk page. PWilkinson (talk) 19:11, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Ah sorry, thanks for that. Stickee (talk) 03:22, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:SSC Crest.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SSC Crest.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 05:30, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

You recently made this edit which removed a fair use image book cover I had in the article. I was wondering if there was a good reason for the removal of the book image, or whether you had simply forgotten to readd it to the article after updating the material there. In particular, I would like to know if there is a good policy related reason for the image to be removed from the article. If you can provide one then I'll be happy to delete the image, otherwise I'd like to see it reinserted into the book article. TomStar81 (Talk) 08:54, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh Whoops! I made the edit to the wrong article! It was meant to be made to Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves. Your image was just taken as collateral damage. I've reverted the article to its state before my big screw up. Thanks for pointing it out. Stickee (talk) 09:00, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Sent you a quick e-mail. Courcelles 09:23, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Ignore that, I misread the history. Courcelles 09:24, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Do not worry too much about it Stickee, we all make mistakes, and I have learned over the years I been here to ask first before I assume the worst. In this case, as I thought, it was simply a case of crossed wires, and all told no real harm was done. Thanks for the reply and the fix. TomStar81 (Talk) 11:29, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Albertinum[edit]

Hello. I have not posted in this article for more than five years. The blocked wikipedia user SKD Marketing probably stands for Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, a public institution among the most prominent museums in the world. So far I have no doubt about the probity of this user (regarding both copyrights and also NPOV) and I think he was blocked in error. Steffen Kaufmann (talk) 16:48, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a policy against usernames that appear to represent an organisation. Because User:SKD Marketing is clearly an organisational name and was engaging in promotional activity, he/she was blocked by User:RHaworth. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 04:46, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
PS: In regards to the speedy nom, I placed it by accident not realizing there was non-copyrighted content on the article (and I quickly removed the CSD tag after seeing that). However, it seems I never removed the notice from your talk page; sorry about that. Stickee (talk) 04:50, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. My local store had an early release - I went into Dymocks looking for a textbook and saw ARMY OF THIEVES sitting there. I read it in one sitting. The plot summary was actually pretty hard to write because there was so much to be covered and it had to be succinct. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 23:11, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves[edit]

I notice you changed the preceding novel of Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves to Hell Island. This is incorrect. The preceding novel to Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves is actually Scarecrow, as stated by Matthew Reilly in the interview at the back of Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves, where he states on page 395: "For the record, in my mind Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves follows on directly from Scarecrow." You will have noticed that I have changed the Scarecrow and Hell Island articles to reflect this. While Hell Island was published in between the publishings of Scarecrow and Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves, and your point that Hell Island falls between these two, it only does so chronologically by publishing date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk)

Ah thanks, changed back. Stickee (talk) 04:16, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Dear Stickee; Hope this meets you well? I want to commend you on you good work; however I am sure you are mistaken in some areas. 1. There are a lot more Christians than Muslims in Nigeria. Where did you get your own information from? Please check reliable sources like the World Bank Data-set or surveys carried out by The Nigerian Bureau of Statistics for this information. You probably got your information from the CIA website; that information is false. 2. Nigeria is not an Arabic country? I believe the language that you are aiming for is Hausa. Why don't you write in that language and not Arabic? 3. In the Article on USA, France, Germany and the UK; you don't have pictures of Negroes burning during the days of segregation and slavery and you don't have a picture of the horrors of the World Wars. Why is it that you try to stereotype us by having a picture of a starving girl during the long forgotten Biafra War? Most Nigerians don't even know about that war. Shouldn't that be on another page? Why did you not put up the pictures of the second largest man-made structure (once the first)"The walls of benin": or even : or, or Do you really mean to say that picture you have selected is more relevant than all these? Is this really how you reported for other countries? 4. There are a lot of Modern scenes in Nigeria. Why choose the ones you have here? This is the article people will look at when learning about Nigeria. You don't have to lie; why don't you tell the truth and give honest journalistic views and stop stereotyping? Finally If you don't have information from a reliable source, just don't talk about the issue. There have been many Kingdoms in Nigeria not just the Benin Kingdom; there was the Oyo Kingdom, the Hausa Caliphate and the Igbos had a flourishing and specific dynasty. I hope you will live up to the expectations of honesty, professionalism and goodwill. Please correct your article. Thank you, Have a good day. New Page Triage engagement strategy released[edit]

Hey guys!

I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox -

It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:44, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Why will I be blocked for editing in wikipedia?

The first 2 times, I didn't know where to give the reason for my editing, I have given the reason in the third time in Edit summary. Also, I don't understand how to send a message to a specific user. Is this the right way? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Balachandar13893 (talkcontribs) 11:08, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Balachandar13893. The latest reversion was done by another user and it seems he didn't see your explanation in your summary. I suggest discussing this change in the talk page of India here: Talk:India. That way other editors of the page can discuss whether they agree with removing that piece of text. The current holder of this IP address ( has just seen a message on Wikipedia dated 22/10/2010 advising them that their entry on "Splash Screens" was vandalism and further such updates would result in them being blocked. Hi User:Malik amin khan. List of international sport federations isn't actually a category, it's an article itself. Other improvements could be finding new references and including the information they provide into the article. Stickee (talk) 13:37, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

Your use of rollback rights on Malaysian Airlines MH17[edit]

At the noticeboard for reporting incidents I am advised to discuss this matter with your here first though I am not sure what we could say that's already been said on the article talk page . You simply reverted a series of edits by me without examining each one. Rollback is mainly for dealing with vandalism. My edits were not vandalism, they were all explained. What is your explanation? Sceptic1954 (talk) 06:09, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

The ref changes were reinstated. The other 3 were much the same as a paraphrase of the BBC quote that is in the process of being WP:BRD'd. The rollback tool was never used. Stickee (talk) 06:19, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
I see it wasn't used. Apologies. Nonetheless the removal of my edits en bloc was something of an abuse and to characterise the third of the 5 edits as simply returning to the BBC quote is absurd. I don't think much of your use of BRD to stamp out edits you may not agree with. I will continue on talk.Sceptic1954 (talk) 06:30, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Removal of Archbishop Wood HS Alumni Gay Hate Crime Article[edit]

I do not know if you are the Wikipedia Administrator who had this article removed twice, but the Wikipedia administrators have collectively been censoring this topic.

The topic and the conclusion it was a hate crime has not only been reported in "fringe" papers (which I guess is code for "gay" by the Wikipedia administrators) but by mainstream papers and television stations (NBC, ABC, Fox) in Philadelphia. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia shares this viewpoint as evidenced by its comments on the crime.

Wikipedia should contain articles on hate crimes, which reflect on both American society and human nature.

I would be fine with edits and improvements to this article, but am very disappointed with the Wikipedia censorship machine that removed the article in its entirety twice.

Please note that in the brief times the article was posted other users added substantially to the references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AA4455121 (talkcontribs) 12:28, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sikkim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tihar. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Semi Protected edit request[edit]

hey Stickee i was wondering if i can get a Protected edit request on Kehlani thanksDelrayisit (talk) 04:41, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi there. The correct way to make an edit request is to say "please change X to Y because Z" on the talk page. For example, "please change her years active from "2009-present" to "2008-present" because that is what is says on this website:". Stickee (talk) 04:46, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Clifford Chance page[edit]

I'm trying to respond to the thread. A number of 'users' I suspect the same person, are continually deleting my updates to the Clifford Chance page. They've then reported me for reverting to my update. It's completely ridiculous. My updates are references and correctly sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfmisha (talkcontribs) 13:10, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

You can respond in the comments section of the report. The edit you made earlier deleted the entire section. Stickee (talk) 13:13, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for the message.[edit]

Safiye Sultan page is made up of Leslie P. Peirce's words. I draw your attention to where Leslie P. Peirce didn't live in Safiye's time. Her book isn't 100% real. She claims Nurbanu is the real Baffo, Safiye is any Albanian. In her book, she is subjective so the Wikipedia contributers shouldn't talk about Peirce as a "source". (talk) 12:42, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

This is my first wiki post and I don't have a clue what you are talking about "change x to y"???? wtf?? and what if I'm not trying to change anything but to add new content? where's the formula for that??.....this couldn't be more confusing and cluttered, I honestly expected more from Wikipedia. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Anyway, Look I'm trying to add this tidbit of information to Nikes wiki page, I was hoping whoever had the juice to edit this page would read my post and basically summarize it a little by copy and pasting the pertinent information, I'm sure you can see what needs to be posted and what does not, whilst still giving the whole story about the pop culture influence that back to the future part 3 had on Nike's legendary brand name pronunciation......that's why I said whoever gets this post not to let it go to waste. Now, do what you will with this I'm done, I TRIED. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XXsupercoupeXx (talkcontribs) 01:01, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, Stickee[edit]

Dear Stickee,

Thanks for your welcoming. The English language, as the lingua franca of nowadays, is my second language.

I will be trying to collaborate in this effort created by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger.

Hi Gabbar Punjabi. If you oppose deletion you may make a comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Flower Under Dark Shadow. That is where a decision will be made about whether to delete or keep the article. Stickee (talk) 09:00, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Your opinion is needed[edit]

albania/serbia border[edit]

On this page

you reverted to a version with non-working links of the Klan TV. I thought non-working links are suppose to be removed? (talk) 13:30, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi there. The link you deleted with this edit is working for me (this link). I've added an archive link to the reference as well. Stickee (talk) 02:10, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
No, no. I was talking about this link This one does not work. It was suppose to be a link to a video but it's not working - thus claim about "multiple soldiers killed" is invalid. (talk) 20:50, 15 November 2014 (UTC)

Online shopping > History[edit]

Hope I am doing this correctly, but if not feel free to guide me.

Online shopping > History

The link to NetMarket isn't included and I would like for this to be as the company is still a going concern as opposed to the Internet Shopping Network (the link points to Randy Adam's personal Wikipedia entry). And have found the original New York Times article from 8/12/94 mentioning the first secure transaction so would like to use this instead of the CNET article. And is it possible to have this linked to from "first secure transaction over the Web" as opposed to be included as a footnote [7]?

Vincent Callebaut[edit]

Hello Stickee. First of all I wanted to apologize of my english mistakes, I am a french student. In the case of my study, for a class assignment me and my friends as a workgroup have to build from A to Z a wikipedia page and we chose the subject "Vincent Callebaut". We are actually facing a problem with it because our page is only a draft page at the moment and when we are trying to do some link in, the link goes on Floating Ecopolis because it is redirected with the Vincent Callebaut page already existing and which is just completed with "#REDIRECTED...".

I wanted if it is possible to fix this problem and have some links in for our Vincent Callebaut page. Let me know if I can do something, if you can do something, but please let me know what will be next. Our dead line to put page online is on the 7th of December.

Thank you to take in charge my consideration.

Re Cumberbatch and Hunter[edit]

Since you've removed text not in source from Beneidct Cumberbatch's profile, I think you should remove the sam text (dating timeline) in his fiancée'so page, (Sophie Hunter). It was also discussed in her own talk page.

Additional request in Cumberbatch's lead paragraph (last one). There shouldn't be a "the" in "he has won the Best Actor in a Play..."

Thank you very much!!! (talk) 04:43, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, didn't realise that. Thanks for reverting. Britmax (talk) 10:53, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Cory Williams[edit]

The changes I made were purely factual;

Kate Elliot did not close her account, it was hacked, as she stated in one of her earliest vlogs on her new channel KateInRealLife.

Cory's cat Sparta is called poo, relating to his brown colour. The diffirence between that and Moo isnt always evident but in some videos, for example the DudeLikeHELLA video "I'm becoming a redneck" it is very obvious that he is on fact called Poo.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "not constructive", I only changed 2 phrases. (talk) 22:22, 7 December 2014 (UTC)Tubbs, the guy that made the edits to Cory Williams' page.

Accusation of sock-puppetry[edit]

Hi, since only today I logged in, I just saw your message, I was really surprised and hurt...I answered here (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Thehoboclown) as you wished. FromOradea is a frustrated fantasta, I really don't know how I deserved to be his target, I will also write him personally. Please check my answers and make a comment if you wish, Thank You (KIENGIR (talk) 23:15, 16 December 2014 (UTC))
