PCB Pictures?[edit]

I'm wondering how this article got through so many edits without any discussion of these completely unnecessary photos.

I'm going to remove the entire section as it adds absolutely nothing to the article - the pictures aren't even captioned or annotated, and the user associated with them is unreachable. If I'm in the wrong, please contact me and let me know how I can help.

I'm also going to remove the "Parts List" and "System Accessories" sections. As far as I'm aware, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a brochure or repair manual, and the information I'm removing is better suited to one of the latter.

I think the incredibly exhaustive specifications listing is overkill as well, but I'm going to leave it for the time being. Illini407 talk 13:04, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • You got a problem with yourself. You contributed to the creation of this article? or are you going to just delete information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.155.102.73 (talk) 13:35, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Illini407: I agree, this article is long overdue being significantly trimmed per WP:NOTMANUAL. The specifications list seems excessive for an encyclopaedia article as well, and really needs to be condensed / summarised to a fraction of its current size, possibly a mixture of main content and infobox for that. @Murph9000: Thanks for the support. I've made an initial edit based on what I initially stated and will hack away at the specs list as time allows. I don't believe this camera is notable enough in too many of its specifications to warrant listing every last one of them. Illini407 talk 12:38, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Illini407: No problem, just calling it as I see it. It may seem a little paradoxical, while I'm advocating trimming the article, but I have also added a stub tag to it to encourage its expansion. It possibly needs a bit more prose, more normal encyclopaedia content. Some of that may well come from the significant / notable features in the specifications list. @Murph9000: Thank you for doing that, something I totally forgot to address - maintenance tags. I will do what I can in the next week or so regarding the excessive amount of info in the specifications listing to try and bring it in line with devices with similar articles.
