Talk:Mitsubishi Galant Lambda

I'm about ready to move this article to Mitsubishi Galant Lambda so that the page is named after the domestic market model and Mitsubishi Sapporo redirects to it. Currently Mitsubishi Galant Lambda is a redirect page with a one line edit history, so as per WP:MOVE it's OK to overwrite a page like this without admin intervention.

The current article also seems to have been very Plymouth Sapporo-centred (they were merged on 04:12, April 26, 2005, but obviously not rewritten). I've tried to make it more model-neutral, and I've also deleted most of the content about the unreliability of the mechanicals. Aside from the fact that there's no citations to support this, when I went looking for corroboration/contradiction I found the Allpar.com page on the Plymouth, where owners' testimonies seem to indicate that it suffered none of the problems referred to here.

Therefore, my rewrite, currently at User:DeLarge/Galant Lambda, will be copy/pasted here and then the page will be moved/redirected, unless there's any dissenting voices. --DeLarge 21:49, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agree - I definetly support the move. I wonder why it wasn't renamed sooner... --ApolloBoy 00:33, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, will move it now. --DeLarge 09:48, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second infobox[edit]

There's absolutely nothing in the second infobox at present to justify its existence. A copyvio image which will shortly be deleted, some circular redirects, and duplication of what's already in the first infobox. What is it about this car that some people think the same thing needs to be said twice or three times on multiple pages? --DeLarge (talk) 13:22, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

///////////////////////////// There are two very distinct generations of this car with completely different bodies. The image that you removed is NOT a copyvio image. There is no copyright claim anywhere in the owners manual. And the image and all the information in the owners manual are intended by the manufacturer to accompany the car and be used to describe the car.

If there is a concern about redundancy, I think this page should be merged with the Galant page.GalantFan (talk) 20:17, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
