Game title[edit]

The article states that the game is called Mobile Suit Gundam 00, but is known in Japan as Kidou Senshi Gundam 00. However, the article also says that the game was only released in Japan. Where does the first name come from? is it official? Megata Sanshiro (talk) 15:36, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Same question goes to the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series.. where does the first name come from? Apparently, looking at the history of Gundam franchise, "Kidou Senshi" translates to "Mobile Suit". --staka (TC) 21:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm asking about this precise article, not another one. According to the conventions for the WikiProject Video games, only official titles should be used, not fan translations. If a game was released in Japan and has an official Japanese title, the Japanese title should be used. If a game was released in Japan yet also has an official English title, then the English title should be used. Does this game have an official English title? It actually does. Although there's no official English site for the video game, many of the game sites use the English title, Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Unlike Wikipedia, those sites, I assume, are not able to be edited by anonymous users so they are probably correct. Well by the way, Kidou Senshi Gundam 00 should be redirected to Mobile Suit Gundam 00, then the article, if Mobile Suit Gundam 00 isn't the official English title, should be named "Kidou Senshi Gundam 00 (video game)", not to be confused with the series. I'm surprised that there was no redirect to the article with the Japanese title.. --staka (TC) 01:05, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
