Name change[edit]

This page needs a name change. It should be called "Monastery of the Holy Spirit" not "Abbey of the Holy Spirt". People associated with the Monastery do not refer to it as Abby of the Holy Spirit and that is, in fact, not its name. NancyHeise 17:00, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the formal name of the monastery is in fact 'Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Spirit.' I don't have a source on hand, but it's my experience that all Trappist (maybe all Cistercian) abbeys have formal names under the rubric of 'Abbey of Our Lady of X.' It does go by 'Monastery of the Holy Spirit,' though, so that's totally right for the article title. Might be good to mention the monastery also goes by 'Conyers,' as sevearal of the Trappist monasteries also go by the name of the closest town (St. Joseph is called Spencer, Holy Cross is called Berryville, St. Benedict's is called Snowmass, etc). Conyers?[edit]

Their website says they are in Conyers. I'm wondering though if that is accurate. Is the monastery in Conyers, or just near the city? LadyofShalott 22:49, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conyers is the nearest city. NancyHeise talk 02:31, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I thought. Being in rural Rockdale County is not the same as being in Conyers though. I'll change it to say "near". LadyofShalott 00:16, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
