Questionable sources[edit]

Owais Khursheed Thanks for expanding this article. Unfortunately, you have begun to use questionable sources again. I have already pointed out problems with using Tahir Amin in the Kashmir conflict discussion. Rob Johnson, your new source, is also questionable. Ian Talbot[1] points out that the book is peppered with errors, broad generalisations, undue emphasis etc. And, this is one of the scholars that Johnson himself thanks in his Preface! I would like to request you to use WP:In-text attribution for any content sourced to these scholars and your best efforts to cross check their information against other sources. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 11:42, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bose assessment[edit]

Kautilya3 your claim in your edit summary lacks evidence. Here is your opportunity to explain why the scholarly assessment from Bose on the extent of electoral rigging is WP:UNDUE in a section which is called 1987 election and rigging; a section which should after all include the scholarly assessments on the rigging. Until you provide a satisfactory answer, the WP:DUE content stays. JosephusOfJerusalem (talk) 22:29, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election, 1987#Electoral malpractice, where a wide range of informed opinions are mentioned. Sumantra Bose's data didn't check out. He seems to have made some kind of a basic error in interpreting the electoral data. Any discussion you want to carry out should happen at that article's talk page, not here. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 01:29, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe this is WP:OR by assessing yourself the data methodologies of the scholars. We need to WP:STICKTOSOURCEs. Its not our field whether Bose made an error in his data unless there is a scholarly critique of his study around, which is what would get inclusion, not personal findings. Jospehus, why are fighting this all over again? The main page is the elections page. This section should reflect what the main page says. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 19:45, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
