Peer Review 1[edit]

The lead section seems a little long and is repeated in the description. Perhaps the lead could just state what the Society is and what makes it notable and take everything else out. The "sources" section can be cleaned up a bit. JANAE2290 (talk) 16:15, 22 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Review 2[edit]

The article needs inline citations (WP:Citing sources#Inline citations). That link explains it very well, but I'll summarize: Inline citations provide the source of the information right by the content it supports. They are generally placed just after punctuation.^[1] The citation is placed within <ref name="X">...</ref>, generally using one of the {{citation}} templates (WP:Citation templates#Examples), but can also be done with regular wikitext as you've done in the general reference section. Each reference should also be given a unique name (i.e. X), and may be used again with simply <ref name="X"/>. Lastly, a "References" section should be created with {{reflist}} placed directly underneath it, so all the references formatted in the manner described above will appear there.

Alright, as that is out of the way; I went ahead and converted two of the raw links from the external links section into citations (the ones which I personally thought contained the most relevant content). I was unable to view any of the jstor.org sources:

Hopefully, those are helpful. WP:External links#What to link describes what type of links should be present in the external links section (WP:ELCITE). Some should probably be removed or converted into citations (either inline or general). They should also be named with a short summary, e.g. Godsy's userpage ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Godsy Godsy's userpage]) instead of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Godsy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Godsy) (WP:External links#How to link). Unless the general reference section (WP:GENREF) contains sources supporting the article in general, and not a specific piece of information, it could probably be eliminated in favor of just a "References" section (containing inline citations) and an "External links" section (containing appropriate related external links). The order in which sections should appear can be viewed at MOS:ORDER.

Beyond that, I added a few links to, did some copyediting of, and adjusted some formatting in the article. I'll try to keep an eye on it and help with formatting etc. if needed.
