Cricket people

Create articles about 19th century players who are listed in Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/19th century players
Create biographies about Bangladeshi players from the task force redlink list
Check the listing of key bios at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/Key biographies and improve these to at least B-class.
Create batting/bowling graphs for cricketers who have excelled in international cricket.
Create articles for redlinks present here and here

Notability[edit]

I'm removing the notability tag as the club is undeniably notable. The article is still a stub but there is scope for considerable development, especially as Sri Lankan cricket has now recovered from the impact of the pandemic. The club was promoted to major status just before the pandemic began and had played only a few top-class matches prior to this year. They have now taken part in three major competitions and will do again next year.

I take the point about CricketArchive (CA) being paywalled but it was used for convenience to get the article started. I've only added a few lines with barely anything yet about 2022 but the extra information has come from sources other than CA. The article is still a stub but I will develop it in the near future along the same lines as other articles about top-class cricket clubs. Bc Jvs UTC 13:38, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The currently provided sources are nowhere near what we need to establish WP:GNG--rather than providing stat blocks and match fixtures, we need citations to significant prose coverage describing the club's history. The article was restored from a previous unnecessary redirect only four days ago so it is effectively a new article. Is there an urgent deadline or am I allowed to develop the article at my leisure? Stubs are allowed, but if the sources do not indicate that it meets WP:GNG, it will likely be nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it over time but do not think you will be able to identify sufficient sourcing within the next few days, I would suggest moving it to either Draft space or a subpage of your userpage. _signed,Rosguill ^talk 23:13, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Really. Well, I suggest that you are abusing your position as an administrator by trying to exert undue pressure. I am seeing too much of that sort of attitude and I further suggest that my valuable time will be better spent on other projects that are much more worthwhile than Wikipedia.
