Here are the issues I found:

I'm not sold on Baseball Library as a reliable source, but the person who wrote this bio does seem legit, so I won't worry about it.
For completion's sake, I would like ISBNs for all the book sources including the ones linked with Google.

Anything on what he did in 1876? I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask.

No, I couldn't find any statistics or news on him for that season.

"Shafer was one of the best hitters in the UA." I'd move this sentence down and try to combine it with the sentence with the stats, to make it a bit more clear.

Bill James' source looks like it may have some extra info to add besides simply the rank. If you don't have it I could look through it to see if there's anything.

I have the source; James actually doesn't write much about Shafer in this book.

Looks good. Last thing I would note is that if Google Books is showing only a snippet view or no text view at all, then there's no reason to include the URL for it. I saw that in one instance, but it's not a GA concern, just a personal nitpick. Since everything else is fine, I'll pass the article.
