Untitled[edit]

I was interested in reading that Wisting was duped by Amundsen into believing he was heading for the North Pole when they were actually going South. I thought Wisting was a navigator and would have known which way South in any conditions? Can anyone put me right on this? 212.240.75.244 12:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amundsen only saw the need to tell the commander of the Fram, Thorvald Nilsen, about the change of plans before they sailed off. [1]. I've added that link to the article. The rest of the crew were informed after they had left Oslo. Shanes 22:50, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
