Bitterness[edit]

"The bitterness which he felt appeared in his writings" Bitterness towards what? Jews? Liamdaly620 03:42, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Violent[edit]

Jeez talk about heavy Jew bias from whoever wrote this article. Seriously a violent anti-Semite? What was violent about him? Did he beat Jews with bats? Did he wave his hands in a threatening way when talking about Jews? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.173.42.62 (talk) 17:36, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

I think it means violent in the sense of extreme or severe. The adjective comes from the 1911 Britannica article whose author is not specified. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 02:15, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
