Payyanur or Payyannur?
[edit]A quick search at http://www.censusindia.gov.in/2011census/FindVillages.aspx would give the result "Payyannur", not "Payyanur". What is the official name? Gaconnhanhnhen (talk) 15:05, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- The official name is Payyannur. It is used on nearly all governmental sites. But, a lot of people use 'Payyanur'. In the end, both are used interchangeably. I think people prefer 'Payyannur' as the spelling. Adr28382 (talk) 17:00, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
