Numbers of users[edit]

Would anyone consider numbers of users as an interesting information to include in the table for p2p web hosting? Spekulatius2410 (talk) 04:35, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's almost impossible, these projects are beta (lots of testers come and quit) and the P2P technology makes (very) harder to count the users. Dadu (talk) 09:28, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
fair enough. Makes sense. Spekulatius2410 (talk) 12:19, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia should use this technology[edit]

Wikipedia wants donations to pay for web hosting. Seeing as there are so many wikipedia users, would it not be better to abandon the client/server model altogether in favour of an entirely decentralised model? How many users who are not willing to donate would be willing to donate a small amount of computer/bandwidth resources? Client/server architecture is last century's news. 60.241.100.51 (talk) 22:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Peer-to-peer web hosting technology is experimental, and has drawbacks too (bandwidth, storage space). Dadu (talk) 09:29, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
